Corruption and Fake Certifications Plague Unani Medical Council, Claims Experts

Kolkata: The Unani Medical Council has been facing serious allegations of corruption, fake certifications, and wrongful appointments, according to Dr. M. A. Parwaiz and Dr. Nadeem Ahmed, who held a press conference at the Kolkata Press Club. Dr. M. A. Parwaiz, a former professor at the council, revealed that fake certificates are being issued, allowing unqualified individuals to practice medicine, putting people's lives at risk. He claims that many doctors who are currently practicing based on fraudulent certificates have not undergone proper training. Dr. Parwaiz compared the ongoing scandal to the one involving Dr. Sandeep Ghosh, where corruption was exposed, calling it an even larger scam.
